What is under the keycaps

Eight layers between your finger and the desk. The gaskets, foam and brass are there so the keyboard sounds muted and stays put.

What happens in 4 mm of travel

The curve shows how hard the switch pushes back while the key goes down 4 mm. The keystroke registers at the actuation mark.

Built around eight hours of typing

Three decisions matter most when a keyboard is used for writing all day rather than for a quick test in a shop.

  • 6.5°

    A low, fixed angle

    The front edge is 18 mm high and the angle is built into the case, so there are no flip-out feet to wobble and no ledge to lift your wrists over.

  • Gasket

    A soft landing

    The plate floats on Poron gaskets instead of being screwed to the case. Each keystroke lands softly and the aluminium does not ring.

  • 4 stabs

    Long keys sound like short ones

    Space, Enter, Backspace and left Shift sit on screw-in stabilisers, lubed by hand, so the keys you hit most do not rattle.

Batch 1 schedule

We mill, anodise and assemble 150 keyboards in one run. These are the dates we plan around.

  1. Until 15 Oct

    Reservations

    Send a request with your configuration. We confirm the slot by email within two working days.

  2. 20 Oct – 20 Nov

    Milling

    Cases are milled from solid aluminium. The 30% deposit invoice goes out when milling starts.

  3. 23 Nov – 4 Dec

    Anodising

    Finish colours are fixed from here. Before this date the deposit is fully refundable.

  4. 7 – 18 Dec

    Assembly and testing

    Every keyboard is assembled by hand and each key is tested. Then we invoice the balance.

  5. From 21 Dec

    Shipping

    Parcels leave Saint Petersburg in order of reservation. The last ones arrive in mid-January.
